What is an Artisan?

Artisans can produce useful items for players. There are five artisan occupations: Metalworking, Woodworking, Alchemy, Tailoring, and Cooking.

You can learn an occupation at any level, but you are limited to one occupation and the choice is permanent.

Choosing Your Artisan Occupation

• 1. Talk to the Master Artisan of your desired occupation.
• 2. Click Acquire Artisan Occupation in the Master Artisan's dialog window to open the Occupation window.
• 3. Click the Artisan Training button in the Occupation window to improve your artisan skills.

Occupation Level Requirements:

• Lv. 1 Artisan: Apprentice
• Lv. 10 Artisan: Journeyman
• Lv. 25 Artisan: Adept

Metalworking

Metalworkers fabricate a wide range of metal items, such as weapons, arrows and guildhouse items.

Cooking

Chefs specialize in cooking with various ingredients from all over the world. They can create ability enhancing foods for use in combat.

Alchemy

Alchemists create potions and concoctions from herbs and other ingredients. They are able to brew recovery potions and enhancement potions to help adventurers in battle.

Woodworking

Woodworkers build many different items from wood. They can craft bows, firewood that recovers HP/MP, and guildhouse items.

Tailoring

Tailors produce an assortment of items made from cloth. They can create armor, apparel, and guildhouse items.

Crafting

Crafting Items

• 1. Press M to open the Map and locate the Workshop.
• 2. Click the tool next to your occupation's Master Artisan to open your Artisan Information window.
• 3. Select an item from the Craft List. The required materials are displayed on the right. If you have all the materials necessary to craft an item, that item appears at the top of your Craft List.
• 4. Select an item to craft, and then click the Craft button.

Crafting Equipment

• 1. Press J to open the Artisan Info window.
• 2. Select an item from the Craft Equipment tab to view the required materials.
• 3. When you have all the necessary materials, click the Crafting Tool near a workshop or blacksmith in any village, and then click the Craft button to produce the item. If you have all the materials necessary to craft an item, that item appears at the top of your Craft List.
  
  

A Note on Crafting

You can only craft items after choosing an Artisan Occupation. Choose your occupation wisely as the choice is permanent. You can get the materials necessary for crafting in dungeons or through the Trading Office.

Artisan Crystals

You can make these crystals by using crafting tools in a Workshop. Making these crystals requires Vacant Artisan Crystals and main materials. Use the crafting tool in a Workshop and select Universal Crafting from the dropdown menu to view the available recipes. Artisan Crystals can be traded for chests of main materials from the Master Artisans in each workshop.
