[C9] Webzen Note – New PvP Mode

C9 Actionists,

It has been a while since the last PvP-related updates and we need some new features to make things hum in the Arena. So we are preparing new PvP mode that can be enjoyed by both PvP and PvE lovers! For today’s Webzen Note article, we’d like to introduce the upcoming PvP mode and explain how it works.

This new PvP mode, called “Apocalypse Mode”, is a combination of PvE and PvP. You need to fight against both other players and the cold waves coming periodically. To win this mode, you need to not only kill your enemies to take their HPs but also gain as much bonus HP from special crystals as possible.

Apocalypse Mode
 

Rule

• From 6 to 8 players can enjoy this mode.
• You need to survive from 3 cold waves and your enemies and get HP as much as possible.
• Each participant is your enemy.
• You can gain HP from HP Increase crystals or take your enemies’ gained HP.
• Number of spawned crystals will differ to the number of participants.
• Each participants will start the match from different location and all revive spots are random.
• Participants will lost gained HP and buff when died.
• If a participant falls down to the hole, the player will get stunned and relocated to the middle of the map.

How to enjoy Apocalypse Mode:

1. Create or enter Apocalypse Mode match in the PvP Arena.
2. When the match starts, you need to fight alone and survive.
3. HP Increase Crystal and HP Recovery Station will be spawned in certain spots.

• You can increase your HP instantly from destroying a HP Increase Crystal.
• Bonus HP Increase Crystal will increase more HP.
• You can recover your HP gradually by entering a HP Recovery Station.
• In the HP Recovery Station, you will have only half of your physical and magical defense.

4. The first cold wave will come after 3 minutes and take 45000 HP from each participant.

• Survived participants will gain some bonus HP.

5. When the first cold wave ends, new crystals will be spawned.
6. The second cold wave will come after 3 minutes and take 70000 HP from each participant.

• Survived participants will gain some bonus HP.

7. When the second cold wave ends, HP Recovery Stations will disappear and the last new crystals will be spawned.
8. The last cold wave will come after 2 minutes and take 100000 HP from each participants.

• Participants cannot revive since 5 seconds before the last cold wave.
• Participants will recover all HP right before the last cold wave.

9. Survived participants will get different amount of APs and Gold Honor Coins according to the number of obtained HP crystals.

Feature Improvements

New PvP mode is not only thing we’re going to release on the next update. With the Apocalypse Mode, we are improving some of the current features for more convenient gaming environment.
 

Character Max Slot Expansion

Current maximum character slot is 20, which is below than the number of C9 classes. Thus, we’re expanding the maximum slot to 23 for players who want to collect all classes in the same account. You will be able to expand the character slot by using Character Slot Expansion.

Friend List Expansion

50 friends are not enough to enjoy the game with players worldwide! So we’ll double the friend list on the next update. You don’t have to do anything with it-just add new friends!

Block List Expansion

With friend list expansion, we’re also expanding the block list to 50. Simply add new characters on the block list if you don’t want to see their messages.

This is just a small snapshot of what the developers of C9 have been working on. There are many other parts of the game and interesting new additions that we have been looking into and we hope we can share that with you in the near future.
