[C9] Webzen Note – Witchblade Rebalance
UPDATE - Please check the details about Witchblade rebalance: Link
Greetings C9 Actionists,
Our beloved Witchblade class has been in the darkest hours. However, the wait is over! We’re pleased to announce our actionists about a grand rebalancing plan on overall Witchblade Class.
Please check the details below.
Warden

Many of Warden’s skills are highly related to Water element and it makes Warden vulnerable in the 3rd and 6th continents. That’s why we’re going to improve elemental skills as well as Skulljape and skill books!
Some of elemental skills will change to non-elemental magic skills
- Helldive Smash
- Frozen Wind
- Frost Bomb
- Blizzard
- Ice Crystal
- Horizon Jack
- Fear Throw
Improvement on Skulljape
- HP of Skulljape will be increased
- Skulljape will teleport to the character and pull monsters nearby if the player has learned Glacial Strike
Skill Books
- Set Effect improvement on the 6th Continent skill books
- Some of changed effects on the 5th and 6th Continent skill books will be improved
Other Improvement
- Helldive Smash will have unique 2 attacks
- Using Witch Step skills will add 1 additional Dagger Stack
- Damage increase on Frost Step
Bladedancer
Bladedancer has become weaker and weaker in PvE and has one of the weakest skill book effect, so our developers focused on the damage and the skill book effects.
Improve survivability in PvE
- Invincible Frame will be added on attack when learned Spiral Step Up
- Moving range on Flora's Shadow will be increased
Damage Increase on some of Bladedancer’s skills
- Triple Chasse
- Dragon Dance
- Pirouette Strike
- Darkfallen Grave
- Rose Impress
Burst skills
- HP recovery effect will be increased on Burst of Blood
- Burst of Speed will be activated when succeeding Black Rose attack
Skill Books
- Set Effect improvement on the 5th and 6th Continent skill books
- Some effects on the 5th and 6th Continent skill books will be improved
Nightstalker

Many players have been talking about weak summon and action skills of Nightstalker. So we have decided to improve both aspects, so that players can enjoy both with enough stability!
Motion improvement
- Death Blade
- Spin of Chain
- Flash Blade
- Flicker Blade
- Chains of Gravity
- Thunder Wind
- Chain Turning Kick
- Chain Fire Lord
- Ground Explosion
- Moment of Death
Absorb: Harm, Destroy, or Obliterate
- Absorb: Move speed will be lowered so that players can focus on attacking a certain monster.
- Destroy: Attack range and cast speed will be increased. Knock Down effect will be removed. (Changes will affect on only PvE)
- Obliterate: Cast speed will be increased and daze duration will be decreased. Explosion effect will be added on the last attack.
Skill Books
- Set Effect improvement on the 5th and 6th Continent skill books
- Some effects on the 5th and 6th Continent skill books will be improved
Other Improvements
- Increase damage of summoned monsters
- Improve AI of summoned monsters
- Improve general skill combo
All changes above will be applied on October 27, 2015 and more details will be announced on the patch note.
Will I Get a Free Skill Reset Scroll?
Of course, we will send a free skill reset scroll to rebalanced classes!
However, as we’re improving 3 classes at once and there are so many changes, it will not be easy for players to adapt to the new skills right away. So we’ll have a period of adjustment for 2 weeks from the update so that all players can have a look on every skill of each rebalanced class.
In short, to get a Skill Reset Scroll, you need to:
- Have a Warden, Bladedancer or Nightstalker character which is created before October 27
- Access to the rebalanced character AT LEAST ONCE during the period of adjustment (After the scheduled maintenance on October 27 to before the scheduled maintenance on November 10, UTC)
- The Free Skill Reset Scroll will be sent to the characters after the scheduled maintenance on November 10.
Wait, something is missing. What about Slayer?
C9 developers are also preparing a huge improvement on Slayer. As we have decided to make Slayer even better than all changes above, it will take some time for our developers. Of course C9 developers have bigger plans on many other contents as well. Please look forward to the next update, and share your ideas on the forum!
We appreciate each and everyone's thoughts on what might need improvement in the game and look forward to incorporating your suggestions for the betterment of C9.
Sincerely,
C9 Support Team
